The Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace is a weekly summer outdoor festival and farmers market in historic downtown Hillsboro presented for the community by volunteers and sponsors. The market, established in 1998, will take place every Tuesday evening from June 9, through August 25, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm on three city blocks in historic downtown Hillsboro on Main Street and 2nd Avenue.
 
The Market is FREE to the public and features some of the Northwest’s best bands and local entertainment, fresh locally grown produce, flowers and nursery plants, arts from local artists, crafts produced by regional artisans, a wide range of international foods from local restaurateurs, classic, new and hot rod cars and motor cycle display, information from community organizations, and educational & health programs.
 
The 2009 Marketplace will feature several special events and celebrations, including Family Fun Nights which include art and craft projects, games and just plain fun; Emergency Preparedness Week, June 23; Dogs on Parade, (a fun community pet parade at the market) July 14, a Beach Party, complete with water games and fun and the popular Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest; for all ages and all artistic abilities.
